Harvest Festival - The Common Good and Option for the Poor
Harvest Festival - The Common Good and Option for the Poor.
The whole school took the message of Harvest - to share God's bounty and reflected on those less fortunate than ourselves. During a launch assembly led by a CAFOD representative, the children were taught about how water is not freely accessible to some.
From this, the children brought in pennies from home to help those and support the charity CAFOD. The children raised £200.
To help our local community the children donated food. The school council then delivered this to St Margaret's food bank ensuring our donations go to the needy people closest to us.
