Pupil Premium at St Helen’s
Our exceptional Pupil Premium provision is rooted in the mission of the Catholic Church to serve those who are most vulnerable and to uphold the dignity and potential of every person. Inspired by the Gospel and Catholic Social Teaching, we embrace the Church’s preferential option for the poor, recognising that every child deserves the opportunity to flourish and achieve their God given potential.
Through high expectations, early identification and personalised support, we seek to remove barriers to learning and ensure that disadvantage does not limit a pupil’s opportunities. At St Helen’s our provision combines high quality teaching with targeted academic intervention, mentoring, pastoral and wellbeing support, attendance strategies, parental engagement and access to enrichment opportunities.
In this way, our Pupil Premium strategy is not simply a funding mechanism, but an expression of our Catholic mission: to serve, to include, to empower and to ensure that every child is known, valued and given every opportunity to thrive. We carefully monitor the impact of our provision and continually adapt our approach so that our most disadvantaged pupils can flourish academically, socially, spiritually and personally.
