Miss Odufuye
My journey at St. Helen's began first as a pupil before subsequently becoming a teaching assistant and training as a teacher. From the start of my career, my professional development has been a strategic journey to better serve our learners.
During my time at St. Helen's, the Senior Leadership Team has invested in numerous opportunities that have profoundly shaped practice in the classroom, as a leader and previously as a staff governor.
Early experiences shadowing subject leaders in both core and foundation subjects provided the springboard for my NPQML. This allowed me to shift from managing to leading, focusing on data-driven outcomes and team cohesion.
I am particularly grateful for the opportunity to have gained teaching experience across all key stages. Thus, developing a holistic view of a child's journey at St. Helen's which proved vital during my time as a phase leader.
Due to the breadth of CPD opportunities, I have been able to mentor trainee teachers and ECTs. Furthermore, completing the CCRS was instrumental in deepening my skills in Religious Education. St. Helen's has and undoubtedly will continue to build on my professional development as a Catholic leader, ensuring that our school's ethos continues to drive excellence and inspire every member of our community.
