May Procession photos

Our annual May Procession is one of the most cherished celebrations in the life of our school, bringing together our entire community in honour of Our Lady, Mother of God.
From our youngest children in Pre-School through to our Year 6 pupils, the whole school gathered to process with our beautiful statue of Our Lady of Grace from the school to the Convent Chapel. Carrying lovingly handmade flowers, the children sang Ave Maria with great reverence and joy, creating a moving witness to their faith and devotion to Mary.

Upon arriving at the chapel, we celebrated the special tradition of the Crowning of Mary, recognising her as Queen of Heaven and our loving Mother. This beautiful act of devotion reminds us of Mary's faithful "yes" to God and encourages us to follow her example of humility, trust and service.

Following the procession, Our Lady of Grace continued her journey around the school, spending a day in each class. During this time, our Year 5 Prayer Leaders led prayer and liturgy, providing every child with the opportunity to spend quiet time in prayer and reflection with Mary. These moments encouraged pupils to deepen their relationship with Christ through His mother, offering prayers of thanksgiving, hope and intercession.
Our May Procession is a powerful expression of our Catholic identity, strengthening our shared faith and reminding us that, like Mary, we are all called to say "yes" to God and to live lives of love, compassion and service. Through this beautiful tradition, our pupils experience the richness of prayer and liturgy while growing as disciples of Christ within our school community.
