Knowledge and Vocabulary across the Curriculum
Subject leaders carefully consider the essential knowledge, vocabulary and concepts children need to acquire at each stage. Key knowledge is explicitly taught, revisited and connected to previous learning, enabling children to build increasingly secure understanding in all subjects. Our subject leaders understand Development Matters and therefore progressive mapping from our pre-school to Year 6 ensures knowledge and vocabulary build on prior learning.
