Arts Week - Powerful Women
This year's Arts Weeks celebrated the theme of Women Power, inspiring children to explore the strength, courage and achievements of powerful women. Each year group learned about both a fictional heroine from a storybook and a real-life inspirational woman, using their stories as the inspiration for a range of creative artwork. As part of their learning, pupils also completed a homework project, producing beautiful pieces of art celebrating the inspirational women in their own lives. The week was a wonderful opportunity to recognise the positive impact women have on our communities, history and everyday lives while showcasing our pupils' creativity and appreciation.
Our Arts Weeks concluded with a vibrant carnival celebration, giving children the opportunity to proudly parade their artwork around the playground for parents, carers and staff to admire. The festivities continued with energetic dance performances to songs by powerful female artists, bringing the theme of Women's Power to life through music, movement and creativity. It was a joyful finale to a wonderful few weeks, celebrating inspiration, confidence and the incredible talents of our pupils.
